Unfortunately, the folks at Gerber/Fiskars decided that the blade didn't need flared teeth.As a result, the kerf is the same width as the blade and the saw binds in all but the smallest cuts.Maybe the sliding handle couldn't be made to work with a flare-tooth blade but without it the saw is really only useful for twigs and very small limbs.
